Recession Proof Your Bed

Touch me!
Hold me!
Wait a minute!
I’m think I’m dreaming!

Something strange happened last night.

I got a set of velour bed sheets as a Christmas present from my sister-in-law. They’ve been sitting unopened, for the past month while I contemplated “Are these going to turn my bed into a sauna?”
Maybe I should  re-gift them.

But the night was chilly and along with the news, politics, and the economy, the chill went to the core. Out of the package and onto my bed they went.

So, getting back to strange.

Well, I slipped myself between them and after a few moments, I starting wriggling around, feeling the warm softness on my skin. Next thing I was just wanting to feel the fuzzy texture on every inch of my body. I couldn’t get enough! I even closed my eyes and made believe I was in bed with my sexy, now furry lover. Wait! I think I was cuddling my sheets! Oh no, what was next? Practice kissing on my pillow??!! Just how old am I, anyhow?

You know, one of the things I always talked about to women when I was out selling sexy products at home parties, is touch deprivation. Touch is so critical in our well being, and I’ve always believed that partners who keep the non-sexual touch going, keep their relationship going. That’s what I loved so much about my late husband—he would caress my hair, or brush his finger across my cheek, or put his hand gently on my shoulder, for no particular reason, and for no particular expected response back. The good news: I am so fortunate to have that back in my life again!

Abundant, non-sexual touch…a sure way to keep your lover wanting you more. Imagine that!

P.S. I wonder if they actually make them in velvet? Maybe red….
