If You Ever Catch on Fire…


Try to avoid looking in a mirror—I bet that will really throw you into a panic!

This isn’t another one of those irritating tips you’ll read about positive thinking and positive thoughts…I know the last thing you want to hear is that’s it’s all in your head.

The hardest part of staying positive is that validating the negative thoughts or fears feels good. It is comforting, especially if others agree with you, giving that sense of ‘you’re not alone.’

Negative thinking feels realistic, or soothes our pain, or eases our embarrassment. Negative thinking protects us and lowers expectations.

If positive thinking was easy, we’d do it all the time. Positive thinking is hard, and I know that from personal experience.

But let me ask you…is it worth trying to do the hard thing?
